Fokker E type |
These are period drawings of a supposedly Fokker observation type, the M.8, military designation A.1, whose wings were mounted on the "shoulder" of the fuselage. Maybe the drawings aren't as perfect as more modern renditions but shows interesting details of one of the least known family members of Fokker Eindecker series. Evolving from this design, and with the addition of the machine gun interrupter gears, Fokker produced the famous Fokker Eindecker fighters that so many headaches gave to the british and french air services during mid-WW1.
