Would you like to make this site your homepage? It's fast and easy...
Yes, Please make this my home page!
My personal
reference library sometimes challenges me with unidentified
pictures. Altough sometimes I can guess what's depicted on them,
there's so many other photographs that can't be exactly
specified.
Would
you like to help me?
Suppose that you
are an airplane crash investigator. Take a few minutes and look
at the pictures listed below. If you recognize some of the loose
parts, please Email me and I'll post the identified part along with the name
of the detective. Here are my best assumptions. I have no doubt
that yours will be best than mine.
- Uncovered
upper wing of a biplane, two-bay (?) arrangement,
this one has metal plates between 6th and 7th and between
1th and 17th ribs. Note compression tubes and angular
mid-wing cutout. The wingtip is slightly angled and the
aileron is there.
- Uncovered
lower wing of the same biplane, I guess, it has
similar structure but look at the suppossed strut
reinforcements... theres only a fore strut support plate
between 2nd and 3rd ribs.... Structure with no aileron.
- Uncovered
fuselage of a monoplane, undercarriage with
anti-nosing skids, rotary engine, control wheel and a
rather triangular tailfin. In the background there's some
finished wings, but I doubt that those could be of any
help...
- Uncovered
fuselage, of a two-seater found in an educational
handbook. Manufacture seems italian, but...
... And much more later!
